SPEKE (POSSIBLY) - Northumberland & Northeast

The Speke, or what we strongly suspect is the Speke, sits at a comfortable 12 metres, making it a great dive for anyone looking for a relaxed wreck. She’s a steamship, sunk in 1943, and though time and the North Sea have done their work, you can still get a good feel for her lines. We usually find crabs tucked into the plating and plenty of inquisitive wrasse darting around the structure. It’s a nice, easy potter around a piece of history, without the drama of deeper, more exposed sites.
