STIRLING - Northumberland & Northeast

The *Stirling* lies in a relatively shallow 12 metres, making it a good wreck for those looking to spend some decent bottom time exploring. This iron-hulled sailing vessel, which went down in 1920, is reasonably broken up now, but you can still make out the general shape of the hull and some structural elements. We’ve found plenty of lobsters tucked into crevices and often spot small wrasse darting around the remaining ribs. With a bit of surge, visibility can drop, but on a calm day, it’s a pleasant dive, especially for newer wreck enthusiasts or photographers keen on macro life.
