With 112+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - Heather Island offers some of Scottish West Coast's richest diving.
Heather Island offers some solid diving, particularly around its kelp forests. You'll find plenty of crabs and lobsters tucked into the rocky crevices, and we’ve often seen various wrasse species darting through the fronds. It's a good choice for newer cold-water divers looking for straightforward exploration and plenty of smaller critters.
