INVESTOR - Scottish West Coast

The MV Investor is a real punchy little wreck, perfect for a shallow potter around the Scottish West Coast. Sunk in 2019, she’s a 10-metre blue-hulled fishing vessel, lying upright and mostly intact in just 6 metres of water. We love a wreck that’s easy to get to and offers instant gratification, and the Investor delivers. Even after only a few years on the bottom, the wreck’s already become home to a decent collection of critters. You’ll spot a lot of juvenile fish darting in and out of the wheelhouse, and the exposed metalwork is fuzzy with early growth. Our favourite time to dive it is on a calm, sunny morning; the light filters down beautifully through the shallows, illuminating the wreck’s stark outline. It's a great spot for newer divers looking to get their first taste of wreck diving, or for experienced divers who just want a relaxed dive without the need for deep decompression. Just keep an eye on the weather; those westerly winds can kick up a bit.
