The MOD Reef, off the Scottish West Coast, offers a look at the hardier corals that thrive in cooler waters. Expect to find a range of anemones and sponges clinging to the rocky substrate, along with kelp forests swaying in the mild currents. It’s a good spot for divers keen on temperate water ecosystems and macro photography, especially when the visibility is up. We'd suggest it for experienced cold-water divers comfortable with variable conditions.
