SILVER SPRAY - Scottish West Coast

The Silver Spray, a fishing vessel that ran aground in Shian Bay, Jura, offers a surprisingly accessible wreck dive right on the shore. We’ve found her in pieces, really, but the remaining sections of the hull and superstructure are well-colonised and make for a good rummage. Look closely, and you’ll spot wrasse darting between plates and squat lobsters tucked into crevices. It’s a great spot for a relaxed shallow dive or even a snorkel if the conditions are calm, perfect for getting comfortable with Scottish diving without venturing too deep.
