STORMLIGHT - Scottish West Coast

The Stormlight is a shallow one, sitting at just two metres at the entrance to Craighouse on Jura. Sunk in '73, this motor vessel is now pretty much wedged between the reef and the rocks. You’ll find the wreck itself quite broken up, but its remains provide a fantastic habitat for local fish – wrasse darting in and out of the twisted metal, and crabs scuttling over the hull plates. It’s a great little dive for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed snorkel, offering a good glimpse into how quickly nature reclaims things up here.
