Griffon Reef - Manitoba & Prairie Lakes

Brentonsgrund offers a good taste of Baltic diving, particularly if you’re keen to see how marine life adapts to brackish water. We found the rocky seabed here draped in bladder wrack, providing shelter for all sorts of smaller invertebrates. You’ll definitely spot blue mussels clinging to the rocks, and in late summer, the common jellyfish drift by like pulsating umbrellas. It's a calmer dive, usually without strong currents, making it a decent spot for newer cold-water divers or those looking for a relaxed exploration of a unique ecosystem.
