Porcupine Reef in Newfoundland offers a look at a cooler, distinct kind of marine environment. We've often found decent visibility here, letting you appreciate the rugged structure of the reef. It's home to some intriguing cold-water residents like the lumpsucker, a fish that always makes us smile, and you'll likely spot Atlantic cod navigating the rocky areas. Keep an eye on the surface too, we've seen Black Guillemots diving nearby and even minke whales occasionally. This site is a good pick for divers keen to explore the unique ecosystems of the North Atlantic.
