Little Duck Reef - Nova Scotia
Huskins Reef, off the coast of Nova Scotia, is one of those sites that always leaves us feeling a little more connected to the Atlantic. While it’s no tropical coral reef, the rocky formations here are home to a surprising array of cold-water life. We’ve spotted everything from little skates tucked into crevices to lumbering Atlantic cod, often shadowed by schools of saithe. Keep an eye out for foraging American eels and, if you're lucky, the occasional minke whale passing through the deeper sections. It’s a rugged dive, best for those comfortable with cooler temperatures and a more subdued color palette, offering a genuine taste of Canadian diving.
