Why dive here
With 77+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales, ocean sunfish (mola mola) and jellyfish lake - Peach Passage offers some of Nova Scotia's richest drift diving. Water ranges 1-17°C, warmest August, September, October.
Peach Passage offers a gentle drift dive, making it a good pick for newer divers getting comfortable with currents. You'll move along with the flow, observing the local rock formations and whatever smaller fish species are hanging out. It's not a site for big pelagics, but a pleasant, relaxed dive if you're in the area and fancy a mellow afternoon.
Safety Notes
Drift dive - carry a surface marker buoy (SMB) and stay with your group. Brief the current direction before entry.
Cold water this month (avg 15°C). Drysuit or thick wetsuit (7mm+) recommended.
