Cowie Reef
Why dive here
Cowie Reef lies in a species-rich stretch of Québec, with 44+ marine species recorded in the area.
Cowie Reef sits in the waters of Québec, a spot many divers overlook in favour of warmer climes. What we found was an interesting coral formation, a genuine reef, which is quite a find this far north. It’s not a site for spotting big pelagics, but if you’re keen to tick off a unique North American reef dive, it’s worth investigating. We’d suggest a drysuit for comfort and extending your bottom time.
