Guilfoyle Reef - Québec

Récifs de Niapiskau, up in Québec, is one of those places that reminds you how much more there is to explore, even in colder water. It’s a proper reef, which can be a surprise for some divers unfamiliar with the region, and it supports a good number of species. We’ve seen everything from witch flounders settled on the bottom to wolf-fish peering out from crevices. Keep an eye out for common sea stars and green sea urchins clinging to the rock, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot a friendly blade shrimp. It’s a solid dive for those who appreciate the subtle beauty of temperate marine environments and want something a little different from the usual tropical spots.
