The Henry C Daryaw - Québec

The Henry C. Daryaw, sitting in the chilly waters of Québec, offers a true Great Lakes wreck experience. She’s a reasonably intact freighter, and you can still make out her general shape, with the bow and stern sections being the most impressive. Penetration is possible for trained wreck divers, but even staying outside, you'll find plenty to explore among the collapsed superstructure and cargo holds. Schools of freshwater drum often patrol the decks, and we’ve seen some surprisingly large pike lurking in the shadows of the machinery. It's a dive that rewards careful observation and those who appreciate the quiet history of these cold-water giants.
