The Rothesay - Québec

The Rothesay, sitting in the chilly waters of Québec, offers a classic Great Lakes wreck experience. She's a steamer that sank back in the 1800s, and time has given her a real character. You can still make out a lot of her original structure, and the wooden hull is quite something, covered in the usual freshwater sponges and mussels. We’ve found plenty of small fish like gobies darting around the decaying timbers, and it's a calm spot, good for an extended look around. It’s definitely a solid choice for wreck divers keen on North American history without battling strong currents.
