With 177+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, bull sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and nurse sharks - Cenote Dos Pisos offers some of Cozumel's richest cenote diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
Stepping into Dos Pisos, you’re greeted by a cool, fresh embrace, a welcome change from the Cozumel sun. The name, "Two Floors," hints at its unique layout: an upper cavern, bright with shafts of light, and a deeper, darker chamber accessed through a narrow slot. We particularly like the feeling of transition between these two distinct environments. Keep an eye out for the Whitespotted Filefish darting among the rocks in the shallower sections; they're quite curious. For those comfortable with overhead environments and a bit of a squeeze, it offers a distinct contrast to the island’s reef dives.
