    StandoutExceptional marine biodiversity

Dive48 in Cozumel, while not the most famous drift, offers a pleasant enough experience for a relaxed afternoon dive. We’ve found it’s a good spot to slow down and really look into the crevices and under ledges. You’ll often spot a Key Worm Eel or a Safio peeking out, and the Lettuce Coral provides a nice backdrop. It’s a solid choice for newer divers getting comfortable with Cozumel's currents, or for anyone looking for a less crowded profile without expectations of big pelagics.

    Safety Notes

Drift dive - carry a surface marker buoy (SMB) and stay with your group. Brief the current direction before entry.

Strong currents typical this month (avg 79 cm/s). Good buoyancy control essential.

Always perform a 3-minute safety stop at 5m before surfacing.
