With 177+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, bull sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and nurse sharks - Manchones offers some of Cozumel's richest diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
Manchones is a shallower spot, making it a good choice for newer divers or those looking for longer bottom times. You'll often find a decent drift here, carrying you over scattered corals and sandy patches. Look for nurse sharks tucked under ledges and groups of schooling grunts. It's a relaxed dive, a pleasant way to spend an hour.
