With 177+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, bull sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and nurse sharks - Palancar Deep offers some of Cozumel's richest reef diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
Palancar Deep often gets overshadowed, but it’s a solid Cozumel dive. You’ll find dramatic swim-throughs and a gentle wall that drops into the blue. We often spot turtles here, along with the usual reef fish. It’s a good choice for divers comfortable with drift diving who want a relaxed cruise.
