With 177+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, bull sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and nurse sharks - Paraiso Bajo offers some of Cozumel's richest diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
Paraiso Bajo offers a gentle drift dive, perfect for newer divers getting comfortable with Cozumel's currents. We often see southern stingrays buried in the sand and schools of grunts hanging out under small coral overhangs. The reef here is relatively shallow, making it an easy-going second dive, especially when paired with a deeper site. It's a reliable spot for a relaxed dive, often with good visibility.
