    StandoutExceptional marine biodiversity

The Pit is pure drama. You descend into a deep cenote, watching the freshwater lens ripple above the saltwater below, creating a hazy, ethereal effect. Sunbeams pierce the opening, illuminating stalactites and the occasional bull shark circling in the depths. It's a surreal dive, best for experienced divers comfortable with overhead environments and deep profiles.

    Safety Notes

Overhead environment - never enter without proper cave/cavern training, redundant equipment, and a guideline.

Strong currents typical this month (avg 79 cm/s). Good buoyancy control essential.
