With 195+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue whales, dolphins, humpback whales, nurse sharks and orcas - El Bajo de los Meros offers some of Sea of Cortez's richest diving. Water ranges 21-31°C, warmest August, September, October.
El Bajo de los Meros offers a classic Sea of Cortez pinnacle dive. You'll drop onto a rocky seamount often buzzing with schools of jacks and the occasional passing hammerhead. The currents here can be lively, making it best suited for divers comfortable with drift diving. We've found the early morning is often when the bigger pelagics make their appearances.
