With 417+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, bull sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and hammerhead sharks - Tarpon Hole offers some of Yucatán Cenotes's richest diving.
Tarpon Hole is exactly what it sounds like, a cenote where you can reliably find tarpon. You’ll drop into a cavern, usually with good light penetration, and spot these large, silver fish cruising through the freshwater. It’s a pretty unique experience, great for divers looking for something a bit different from the usual reef dive. We’d suggest it for divers comfortable in overhead environments, even if it's a relatively easy swim.
