    Mallard Rock gives you a real taste of Alaskan diving. It’s a rocky spot, with visibility that can swing from 5 to 15 meters depending on the day and the plankton blooms. We’ve seen red salmon and coho pushing through here, especially during migration season, and the Giant kelp can be really impressive, forming dense underwater forests where you can spot Big Skates resting on the bottom. Look closely in the nooks and crannies for Prickly sculpin and the occasional California Spot Prawn. It's cool, temperate diving, often with some current, so it’s best for divers comfortable in colder water and a bit of a push.
