the Rookery - California
The Rookery lives up to its name, a reliable spot for getting up close with harbor seals and sea lions. We often find them resting on the rocky outcrops or curiously circling divers, especially in the shallower areas. It’s a pretty easy dive, good for newer cold-water divers keen on a gentle introduction to California’s marine mammals without big currents. Visibility can be a bit variable, but you're usually guaranteed some wildlife interactions.
