Captain Grumpy - Florida Keys
Captain Grumpy, off the Florida Keys, is a solid choice for an easy dive. At a consistent 14 meters, it’s a comfortable depth for newer divers or anyone looking for a relaxed bottom time. We usually find plenty of grunts and snapper schooling around the various small coral heads and gorgonians. Keep an eye out for nurse sharks tucked under ledges, and we’ve even spotted the occasional green moray. It’s not a thrill-a-minute kind of place, but it’s dependably pleasant, and a great spot to fine-tune buoyancy without any demanding currents.
