Why dive here
With 87+ marine species recorded in the area - including bull sharks, dolphins, hammerhead sharks, seahorses and sea turtles - Concepcion offers some of Florida Keys's richest diving. Water ranges 19-32°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Concepcion site in the Florida Keys offers a relatively shallow dive, suitable for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed bottom time. We've often found small nurse sharks tucked under ledges and schools of grunt hovering over the patch reefs. It's a nice option for a second dive of the day, with typically mild currents.
