Conch Reef - Florida Keys
Ellis Rock, just off Comino, gives you a proper Mediterranean reef dive. We usually drop in close to the rock face, and it’s a pretty easy descent, often with decent visibility for Malta. You’ll weave around the boulders and some small coral patches, keeping an eye out for painted combers darting between the crevices and schools of damsel fish. It’s not a drift dive, more of a leisurely explore, good for shaking off some rust or just enjoying a relaxed afternoon under the waves. We’ve spotted a loggerhead turtle here a couple of times, always a treat.
