Ginnie Spring isn't your typical Keys dive, because, well, it’s not in the Keys. You’ll find this freshwater cavern system a good drive north of Orlando, offering a completely different kind of dive. The main draw is the cavern itself, especially the "Ballroom," a large chamber where the sun streams in, creating these incredible light rays through the tannin-stained water. It’s mostly about the geology and the sheer fun of cavern diving, rather than hunting for specific fish, though you might spot a few freshwater flounder or a curious American eel. We’d suggest it for divers looking to try something new, perhaps those who appreciate the quiet, almost ethereal beauty of a freshwater spring dive. Just remember, it can get chilly, even in summer.

    Safety Notes

Overhead environment - never enter without proper cave/cavern training, redundant equipment, and a guideline.
