With 87+ marine species recorded in the area - including bull sharks, dolphins, hammerhead sharks, seahorses and sea turtles - North Canyon offers some of Florida Keys's richest reef diving. Water ranges 19-32°C, warmest July, August, September.
North Canyon is a decent drift dive in the Florida Keys, best for divers who enjoy covering ground. We usually see plenty of grunts and snapper tucked into ledges here, and sometimes a passing reef shark out in the blue. Currents can be brisk, so it’s one for those comfortable with a bit of a ride. It's a solid choice for a second dive of the day.
