The City of Washington Wreck - Florida Keys
The City of Washington wreck offers a decent dive for those looking for a bit of history in the Florida Keys. We usually find its bow sitting upright, making a good entry point, while the stern is more broken up, scattered across the seafloor. What we really enjoy here are the schooling grunts and snapper that hang out in the more intact sections, and if you look closely, you can often spot a shy moray eel tucked into the crevices. It’s a solid wreck dive, perfect for divers who appreciate the way marine life reclaims these artificial reefs without being too demanding in terms of current or depth.
