Tigertail Lake is a good spot for a laid-back dive, especially if you’re new to the whole breathing-underwater thing or just want to knock the rust off your skills. It's a relatively shallow plunge, topping out at about nine meters, which means plenty of bottom time and no real deco worries. We’ve found the real draw here is the chance to get comfortable in the water, practice buoyancy, or work on navigation without strong currents or deep drop-offs to contend with. You won’t find coral reefs, but there’s a surprising amount of small stuff to observe if you slow down and look closely. It’s perfect for a relaxed afternoon.
