Three Sisters Springs in Crystal River is a completely different kind of dive. It's a freshwater spring system, not a coral reef, so think cool, clear water and sandy bottoms rather than vibrant colours. This is a seasonal spot, primarily for manatee encounters, especially in the cooler winter months when they seek refuge from the colder Gulf waters. We’d suggest it for snorkelers or very shallow divers keen to get up close with these gentle giants in a protected, calm environment.
