Sandusky Wreck - Great Lakes

The Sandusky wreck, sitting in Lake Huron, offers a solid, accessible dive for those keen on Great Lakes history. What you'll find here is a reasonably intact schooner, largely broken at the deck but with its hull and cargo still presenting a clear outline. We particularly enjoy poking around the hold, where you can still spot some of the barrels she was carrying. It’s a site that suits divers comfortable in cooler water and with good buoyancy control, as silting can be an issue if you’re not careful. Look closely, and you’ll often find gobies and crayfish making homes in the timbers.
