With 35+ marine species recorded in the area - including nurse sharks - Old Garden Beach offers some of New England's richest reef diving. Water ranges 4-19°C, warmest July, August, September.
Old Garden Beach offers a sheltered entry, perfect for newer divers or those getting reacquainted with their gear. We generally find a mix of rock formations and sandy patches, home to crabs, lobsters, and flounder. Visibility can be a bit variable, but on a good day, it’s a relaxed shore dive with plenty to explore in the shallows. It’s a solid spot for a casual dive without strong currents.
