Diving Roanoke Pt Ships in New England gives you a taste of local maritime history, resting on the seabed. We're talking about a collection of older wooden wrecks, largely broken up now, but still very much there. It’s less about intact structures and more about exploring the scattered ribs and planking, which have become home to lobsters, crabs, and plenty of sculpin. Visibility can be a bit variable, as it often is up here, but on a good day, you get a decent look at the wreck’s bones. This site is great for divers who enjoy a bit of history and don't mind rooting around in the sand and among the debris to see what’s taken up residence.
