With 35+ marine species recorded in the area - including nurse sharks - Salt Rock offers some of New England's richest diving. Water ranges 4-19°C, warmest July, August, September.
Salt Rock offers a classic New England shore dive, best for divers comfortable navigating rocky terrain. The entry can be a little tricky over some slick stones, so we'd suggest good booties. Once you're in, expect to find kelp forests swaying with the surge and a chance to spot lobsters tucked into crevices. It’s a good spot for a relaxed afternoon dive if you’re in the area.
