The City of Richmond is a popular wreck dive off the North Carolina coast, attracting a mix of recreational and technical divers. It's a sizable freighter, broken into sections, offering plenty to explore on a single dive. Expect to see sand tiger sharks cruising the wreckage, particularly in warmer months, along with barracuda and schooling fish. Currents can be strong here, so it’s best for experienced divers comfortable with drift diving or deploying a surface marker buoy.
