Georgetown Nearshore Reef - North Carolina

The Georgetown Nearshore Reef offers a comfortable dive for those looking for a quick trip out of North Carolina. You'll find a series of low-profile ledges and scattered coral heads, providing habitat for typical Atlantic reef fish and crustaceans. It’s a good spot for newer divers or a relaxing second dive, generally with calmer conditions than offshore sites. We’ve seen plenty of schooling baitfish here, along with the occasional loggerhead turtle passing through.
