Mystery Lake Scuba Park - North Carolina

Mystery Lake Scuba Park is a solid spot for getting some freshwater bottom time in North Carolina. At 21 meters, it’s a good depth for new divers working on their buoyancy and for instructors running open water courses. We’ve found a few small boats, some pipes, and even a plane fuselage down there, all serving as good navigation points. Visibility can vary, as you’d expect from a lake, but on a good day, it’s clear enough to spot the various sunken objects and practice your skills without fighting a current. It’s an accessible, low-key dive that does exactly what it says on the tin.
