Occohannock Reef - North Carolina

Occohannock Reef, off the coast of North Carolina, is a shallow, artificial reef made up of various materials. We've seen schooling baitfish here, along with sheepshead and the occasional flounder tucked into the structure. It’s a good spot for newer divers looking for a straightforward exploration of an inshore wreck, especially on calmer days when visibility pushes past 5 metres. Expect a relaxed dive with less intense currents than some of the deeper offshore sites.
