SS Atlas - North Carolina

The SS Atlas in North Carolina always delivers a solid wreck dive. We’ve found her usually sitting upright, offering clear access to the bow and stern sections. Penetration is possible for trained wreck divers, with an engine room and cargo holds to explore, but there's plenty to see on the exterior alone. Look for sand tiger sharks often patrolling the deeper parts, especially around the stern, and big schools of baitfish swirling through the superstructure. It's a dive that suits those comfortable with deeper wrecks and a bit of current, which can sometimes pick up here.
