The Tamaulipas wreck, off the North Carolina coast, gives us a great example of history meeting nature. This site doesn't typically boast huge schools of pelagics, but what you’ll find is a wreck that has truly become a part of the seabed. It’s covered in growth, providing homes for crabs peeking out from crevices and lionfish patrolling the deck. We’ve found it’s a good dive for those who enjoy exploring the structure itself, looking for the smaller creatures that have made it their own. It’s a solid dive, offering a quiet exploration rather than a high-octane thrill, and we think it's worth a trip if you're in the area.
