Tarpon Wreck - North Carolina

The Tarpon Wreck off North Carolina is a solid dive, a good example of what the Atlantic can offer once a vessel settles in. We found it a decent penetration dive for those comfortable with overhead environments, with open cargo holds that let you get inside fairly easily. Expect to find Goliath groupers often hanging around the deeper sections, and we've seen plenty of sand tiger sharks cruising the perimeter, especially in late summer. It's a dive that rewards repeat visits, as the currents and conditions can shift what’s visible on any given day.
