Yaupon Beach Reef AR-425 - Buoy - North Carolina

AR-425 is an artificial reef made up of concrete pipes and bridge rubble, a common structure along the North Carolina coast. We find sand tiger sharks often resting here, especially in the warmer months. It’s a good, straightforward dive for newer wreck divers or those looking for a reliable spot to see larger sharks without deep penetration. Visibility can be hit or miss, typical for the region, but when it’s good, the sharks are usually there.
