Boiling Reef - Pacific Northwest
Arrecife Lavandera is one of those Keys spots we sometimes overlook, but it's worth a dive if you're in the area. The reef here isn't going to blow your mind with dramatic drop-offs, but it's a solid coral patch with some healthy boulder brain corals and plenty of finger coral formations. We often find Nassau groupers tucked into crevices, and you’ll usually spot a few great barracuda keeping watch in the blue. Keep an eye out for smaller reef fish like Caesar and French grunts schooling over the coral heads. It's a nice easy dive, good for a relaxed afternoon with generally mild currents.
