Charles Reef - Pacific Northwest

Charles Reef offers a decent slice of what the Pacific Northwest is all about. Drop down and you’ll find yourself amongst kelp swaying with the mild currents, often a good spot to catch a glimpse of a curious Spotted Ratfish nosing through the fronds. We’ve had pleasant dives here, nothing too dramatic, but always interesting to spot the various bottom dwellers like Blackbelly Eelpouts tucked into crevices or a Common Seal cruising by. It’s a solid pick for divers looking for a relaxed exploration of the local critters without any major challenges.
