With 35+ marine species recorded in the area - including humpback whales, orcas and seals & sea lions - Harper s Pier offers some of Pacific Northwest's richest reef diving. Water ranges 7-17°C, warmest July, August, September.
Harper’s Pier offers a straightforward shore dive, usually calm and protected from strong currents. We often find giant pacific octopuses tucked into crevices among the pilings, along with nudibranchs and various sculpins. It’s a good spot for newer divers looking to practice skills or for photographers wanting a relaxed pace. Expect depths around 10-15 meters, depending on the tide.
