With 35+ marine species recorded in the area - including humpback whales, orcas and seals & sea lions - Langley Tire Reef offers some of Pacific Northwest's richest reef diving. Water ranges 7-17°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Langley Tire Reef is a surprisingly productive artificial reef in the Pacific Northwest. We've found resident cabezon tucked into the tires, along with schools of perch weaving through the structure. It’s a shallower site, good for newer drysuit divers looking for an easy shore entry and a chance to practice buoyancy. Expect typical Pacific Northwest visibility; it won't blow you away, but there's always something interesting to spot.
