With 197+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, dugongs, hammerhead sharks and sea turtles - Banc Ousal offers some of Gulf of Tadjoura's richest reef diving. Water sits around 27°C.
Hesteskoen, off the North Sea Coast, offers a different flavour of diving. We've often found poor cod tucked into crevices here, alongside the butterfish and little black gobies. It’s not the colourful coral spectacle you might find further south, but there’s a quiet beauty to the rocky reef, especially when you spot a curious snake blenny or a four-bearded rockling darting past.
